About this policy
Lumbus operates Toot, an Android app that plays bundled sounds and schedules local notifications. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app. You do not need an app account.
Information on your phone
Your phone handles scheduled notifications and stores app preferences and purchase access information locally. Notification permission lets Toot deliver scheduled sounds. You can change that permission in Android settings and cancel pending timers in the app. Toot plays recorded sounds bundled with the app; it does not record your microphone or access your contacts, photos or precise device location.
Usage analytics
We use Aptabase, configured for its European region, to understand how Toot is used and improve it. Events include app launches, foreground visits and active time, sound previews, selected sounds and timer delays, cancellations, and broad scheduling failure categories. Aptabase also receives technical information such as operating system, app version and anonymous session information.
The app does not send notification identifiers, scheduled clock times, purchase receipts or tokens, email addresses, advertising identifiers or persistent installation identifiers to usage analytics. Scheduling events do not tell us whether a sound was audible.
Error and crash reports
We use Sentry to diagnose errors and crashes. Reports can include app version and build, operating system, device model, technical runtime information, code stack traces and fixed operation labels. Reports may be cached on your phone and sent when the app next opens or a connection is available.
The app filters personal fields, purchase data, notification identifiers and arbitrary event context. Sentry also processes network connection metadata, which can include an IP address and approximate country or city. Session recordings, screenshots, view hierarchy capture, performance tracing, profiling and remote logs are disabled.
Purchases
Google Play handles payments and purchase restoration under Google's privacy policy. Toot uses purchase status and purchase tokens to check and restore access to paid features. We do not receive your payment card details, and the app does not send purchase receipts or tokens to Aptabase or Sentry.
How information is used and shared
We use information to provide the app, restore purchased features, understand usage, fix faults and respond to support requests. Aptabase and Sentry process information for analytics and diagnostics; Google processes purchases. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to provide.
We do not sell personal information or use app data for advertising. Information may also be disclosed when required by law. Service providers may process information outside your country under their applicable data protection arrangements. Network communications with these services use encrypted connections.
Retention and deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you clear the app's storage or uninstall it, subject to Android's backup and restore settings. Cancel pending timers in Toot if you want to remove them. Clearing local storage does not delete Google Play purchase records or information already sent to service providers.
Aptabase states that analytics data is stored for up to five years. Crash reports are retained according to the Sentry project's retention settings and service terms for fault diagnosis. Support correspondence is retained as needed to address your request and meet legal obligations. Google retains purchase records under its own policies.
You can contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information we hold. Anonymous usage events may not be identifiable as yours, so we may be unable to locate individual events. We may retain information where required by law.
Your choices and rights
You can manage notification permissions in Android settings and stop future app data collection by discontinuing use and uninstalling Toot. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal information, object to processing, request portability, or complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us to exercise those rights.

We may update this policy as Toot changes. The date above shows when it was last updated. Material changes will be explained through an appropriate notice.
